Steering wheel upgrade help

So i decided to try and perform the steering wheel swap on my 2012 glk350. I purchased a 2015 steering wheel and new air bag. I disconnected the battery and performed the swap. Every thing was plug and play and looks great, but now the steering wheel buttons do not work. I don't get any messages on in the cluster. Any ideas on how to get the steering wheel button to function. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I like the style of that new wheel.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost you to do the swap?
And do you have an after photo of it installed?

Not sure why it wouldn't be working. Maybe someone else on here who has done it will chime in.

Just wondering if you ever got this fixed. I would like to do the same. I'm trying to get around the recalled exploding airbag and don't want to wait for 2 years. It looks much better too.
