Pets?

Hi all
Do you any of you have pets? If so do you allow them in the car? And what covers (if you use) do you use to cover The seats that don't look hideous?

We have a Golden Retriever puppy that adores getting into the car, especially moments after I clean it. I don't use any covers at this point, just vacuum it out really well after he rides with us, and hit the seats with some 303 cleaner.

We bought some cover that attaches to the front and rear headrests, so it covers the entire rear seat. It also has a zipper between the two front seats, so the dog can get some fresh air from the rear AC vents.

Like that, with a zipper to the right.

Like Hugo L. I use a cover that attaches to the front and rear head rests. Mostly though I put the back seats down and use the flat floor. The cover I use has an opening that I can pass through an anchor strap that clips on to the dog's harness which prevents him from coming into the front seats while I'm driving or in an accident situation.

I put my dog in the back. I have a cover on the bottom of the storage area, but the sides and back of the back seat look like a furry mess. I try and clean it once in a while, but the dog fur just sticks to the carpeting.

Not certain where you are located but I do have a pet barrier for sale.

I gave this 'rubber glove' tactic a try this morning. I wanted the dog hair gone, and it was too early to run the shop vac. I just put on a disposable nitrile glove, and had the entire back of the car clean in a flash. It wasn't 100% spotless, but it was nearly as good as the vacuum in a fraction of the time, and a lot quieter. Here is a short youtube video that demonstrates it:

I have 2 golden retrievers, they love riding in the car. I purchased the below pet cover in 2010...it is pretty much permanent in my car. The hair, well I don't see it when I have this in. The super powerful do it yourself vacuums at the car wash is about the only thing that works for me
