MB 2015 GLK 350
wiring harness ???

Have tried to post twice, lost message. This is continuation of "wet carpets". Got car over to MB yesterday. Gave my loaner for day (2016 ml350). Call me later in afternoon and said my GLK could not be finished in one day. Went in to see problem and saw 3 inch of water under drivers floor and carpet. It would slosh back rear footwell at time. The AC evaporator drain line had not been connected. g Probably since production date. They gave me the loaner to drive utill repairs completed. My Tech is very helpful and wants everything done as original
This morning he call and told me MB said the interior wiring harness had to be replaced.. He said the harness was VIN specific and MB told him it would be 15 weeks before they could get it..I can keep the ML, but I would MUCH rather have my GLK. I didn't think each car was individually wired. Anyone have any info on this..LJ

As I suspected, the drain hose or lack of it is the issue.
I know you said you want your GLK but i would push for the lemon law and get full value back on your car and look for another one, water/electrical issues are a nightmare, your looking at replacing every single electronic component that has been wet, along with carpet and anything else that was soaked in water.
