Brakes

Decided to do a complete brake job(30.000mi)I did a comparison OE vs. aftermarket. Here's what I came up with.Genuine.Mercedes front/rear rotors and pads $475 (ECS)or ebc ultimax slotted with green stuff pads $600.autoanything I auto crossed my Audi this summer and the above combination did well under extreme abuse. So far the trans--air2x fuel filter1x and normal maintainance,we both still love the glk250 and plan on doing everything on time or sooner, blu def soon

I recently put these on my wife's 2013 GLK350; great stopping power, minimal dust and got rid of the warp prone oem front discs. Our GLK is not raced but I am very happy with the performance of this set. just offering a suggestion that will keep it under $300.

I didn't need anything else; make sure you have the proper external torx socket/ that will help tremendously on the fronts. You can replace the disc locking screw as per mb manual but they're like $2 each, not a big deal. I don't know if 350 and 250 use same brakes so that is something you need to check. Adjust parking brakes through stud hole on the rears. pretty easy and straight forward install. Tim

Yes they are different ,I found the slotted package on eBay for 447.15,it's similar to the Ebc package at auto anything that was 618. Where did you get the bolts?

not arguing but Rock auto shows same part #'s for 2013 glk350(mine) and 2014 GLK250(yours) something to look in to; maybe save $200. screws from ebay as well.

another thing, if you see the brakes i posted/ bought they list 2010-11/ i did call them prior to ordering to verify they fit 2012 up and the salesperson confirmed they would and I can vouch they installed easily etc. ebay listings aren't always all inclusive; maybe someone with a mb parts book can verify p/ns between the two platforms; just a thought

I put those Brake Motive brakes on my W203. It stopped really well with not much dust.

I will be getting them for my glk350 next week.
