Is this switch supposed to be lighted?

I have some weird stuff going on in my car with the dash lights...
im wondering If the icons in the light switch are supposed to be lighted. My switch currently looks like this at night, on auto, with the headlights on. Switching the switch thru the different toggles doesn't change the lighting on the switch.

I think that light is on, only for making it easier to find it in the dark.
And it doesn't change by turning the switch.
Naturally I am now guessing here.
Will check it on my own vehicle later today.

Thanks for checking!! I don't remember if it lights up or not but my dash lights, climate control lights, steering wheel button lights, etc have been intermittent lately

I just checked the switch lighting on my 2013 and it's the same as what you show in the picture. None of the other positions are lit, only the selector switch. I think they were assuming that everyone will just use Auto.
