Yes I saw that you cant get that package in the US, which is really a bummer... It really does change the look of the car... I was in for a 500 (that's your 550) but impossible to get one in France without special ordering it. And I couldnt wait 4 months to get one delivered!

I'm assuming if they allow for the AMG package in the US a lot of people would forgo the 550 for the 450 with the AMG package. Do they sell 450s in Europe? I doubt it. I think its either 350 or 500.
You can get the 450 in France (called 400). But similarly to the 500, none to be found. I guess taxes on big gas engines make them a deal breaker, so you can only get 350d unless you special order... Things might be different in Germany or UK, as these markets are generally more welcoming with regards to big gas engines.

Nice car, congratulations! How do you feel the heavier GLS after driving the lighter ML with the same engine, don't you have the impression it's too slow, or the 9G-tronic compensates well?

anyone here have experience or feedback on "Cilajet" coating? The dealership here said all their new cars go out with it as standard. The Cilajet tags hang in almost all cars on the floor.
It was a line item cost, but they didn't charge it in final cost due to some mixup in the order.

I have driven my ML extensively, so I can tell the difference. It basically feels like you have 4 people on board at all time. But it still remains quite a car to overtake, and you still get that nice thrust in the back of the head when you floor it.
