Raced a Saleem Mustang (Sortof)

So I'm at my favorite light and a blown Saleen Mustang pulls up next to me. I figured I'd see if he wants to race then put it to the floor slowly. He does and starts spinning his tires and I proceed to just walk away. At the next light he and I start together from a roll and again we take off and again I walk away from him. Each time we quit at around 60 because of traffic. I pulled over to turn around and he followed. He rolled down his window and sked, "What is that? I am in shock." He said he had never been beaten that badly. I told him not to feel too badly, there are very few cars out there that can run with an E55 from the dig. Isn't it nice to drive a stealth beast.

Nice kill... those older Saleens are fun to race.... always in shock when they get rapped. I've ran into them twice so far.

Fasn8n -- according to autweek the new 2008 Saleen S281 Extreme runs 11.8 @ 118 stock. HP and torque rated at 550 and 500, respectively. What is the S351? Did you maybe confuse the two?

They always have a couple parked in the Spectrum lot out front for test drives.

The older Saleen Mustangs are an easy kill for a 55.
But that new "Extreme" model is 550HP. Going to need
some mods to keep up with that beast.

But you know what. Its never going to make it
to 100K miles like a Benz will. My Ex had a Mustang.
It was the biggest POS. 2 Trannys, 3 Head gaskets in 50K Miles.
Now she has a SLK320 and no problems.
