The Z06 driver doesn't know his power destribution. 30mph is better off for you, it's the top of your first and the middle of his 1st. How fast were you guys going when he overtook you?
Good kill! |

I never buy the stories where a spouse would encourage street racing. I've never met a woman like that. Ever.

I ran an 11.8 and trapped a 123 stock, besides street radials. And I would put myself in the mediocre driver range. Putting a Z06 into upper 120's is not an easy task. I have yet to see or even hear of someone I know do it.
Your numbers are good and I don't doubt you took him out, not everyone drives the same. |

I don't know much about vettes. By late model, I meant maybe 03 04 time frame. He may not have been a zo6, but sure had the badge. We have all seen AMG on stuff too though.

I'd be pretty sure it was a Z06, just the 03/04 C5 as you said in your last post. A tuned SL55 is no joke so this story sounds right on.

I'm with you now and working on my sense of humor or lack thereof.
It is a good thing I deleted the part of my response about doubting that you have met many women. Fact is, if my wife would have been driving instead of riding, the vette would have taken us. Her foot is way too heavy for a proper launch on a car with some torque. She would have made lots of smoke though. ![]() |

You're picking up almost 31 mph in the back half. HTF?! Nice kill though. I've been to a dragstrip during a Vette meet with several C6 Z06's and drivers trapped anywhere from 119.xx to mid-120's. This was in 82 degree temps though.

Look at the top ten average for RF's: 11.294 @ 124.987. (top ten stock and RF avg. Source: Corvetteforum.com). The only other member who put his car up in the higher 120's on RF's is the respected Ranger. Last edited by kindafast; 11-17-2009 at 11:39 PM. |

My wife was with me a few years ago when we were stuck for a few miles behind an inconsiderate *** on a Harley driving slow in the left lane. When I finally was able to get into the right lane to go around him, of course the douche floors it to keep me from getting by. I floored it and was just about to overtake him when I hear my wife shouting, "No, No, No" (the windows were down so it was hard to hear her over the bike). As soon as I let off, she asked, "What are you doing, you had him?" With a puzzled look, I explained that I let off because she was repeatedly screaming NO at me. She just started laughing and told me that she was shouting GO, GO, GO not NO, NO, NO.
