'11 E63 AMG vs '15 BMW M3 Competition

Okay, so my friend got a 2015 BMW M3 with the competition package. Very nice car with lots of carbon fiber. Comes with a 3.0 Twin Turbo. He said 480hp but online it claims around 431hp.

We did a few pulls from 40-150. The response on the E63 is magnificent. Everytime I'd jump a car length and maintain it until 120-130. After that he quickly reeled me in and began to gain until the limiters hit.

My car does weigh probably twice his car, but still for a 3.0TT that car is FAST!

Rather my car as a daily than his anyday!

Moral to the story: 2015 BMW M3's are faster than they appear!

Yes they seem to dyno higher then their rated power. Do you have any mods ? Also the weight difference is a lot less then you think. Lol for sure not half the size even thought I think you meant that as a joke. They weigh around 3600- so about a 5-600 lb difference is more like it. Either way great run

I'm completely stock. I ran him in sport plus and in manual mode. Did much better in manual mode. A/C off didn't make any difference.

He even had a passenger in the car whereas I didn't, so technically there wasn't much of a weight difference.

Not to mention I had maybe 5 gallons in my tank and he had a full tank.

But like I said it was a good race. I was half a car ahead from 40-120 then around there he started gaining.

Definitely looking into that as well as a tune and exhaust. That would put me up at least 75hp.

Only thing holding me back would be my extended factory warranty through MB.
