Put MBs to shame....uhh how so? I actually like some aspects of that car, but it hardly puts my MB. or quite a few others I can think of, to shame.

i second that...i would much rather spend 50g's on an m3 or a c32 or an s4. i dont give a damn if it gets me to a quarter of a mile a few tenths of a second slower.

okay, I know it doesn't literally put them to shame, but it performs better than just about any Benz that isn't double it's price.

So is that what this forum is about--which cars can pick up the most girls? Last I checked it was called "Kill Stories" Call me crazy but I interpret that to mean a discussion of performance, not girls.

kill stories you stupid troll means... i raced a car and i either lost or won but based ont he term KILL, it usualy means win
also okay wow 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, identical time of the m3 and like what? .1 or .2 seconds slower then the c32? and if a c32 can beat an m3 im thinking a c32 can also beat the grandpa mobile(aka cadilac) also the cadi is a manual....besides a pro racer, your average driver wont be able to stick a 4.8 second 0-60 on the street. sooo my point being. paying 48g's BASE PRICE for a damn american made cadilac is ludicrous. people like yourself and kain who idealize a certain brand or country made vehicle are ignorant. i have the mind set to admit when a car is better then my own or the make i drive but for your sorry aaasss to come on here and sa it puts it to SHAME when i think .1 or .2 seconds slower, if you call that to shame, then i suggest you look into the other cars cadilac makes. THEY LOOK LIKE SHIIIIIT and are GHETTO |

I like the cts-v but how it puts mbs to shame I don’t get. I would take a c32 or an m3 over the cts-v any day. |

Why is everyone so hung up over the phrase "put to shame" I said in an earlier post that I know the caddy does not literally put a benz to shame. If you still dont' understand I recommend you open a dictionary to the "e" section and look up exaggeration

Not really....the new CLK55 ran a 13.2 in Motor Trend and Car & Driver...
...and it isn't even supercharged. 0.1 seconds is hardly something to brag about...and as far as the supercharged Benzes go: the $75K E55 will hand the CTS-V its ass all day long, every day, and it doesn't have the cheezy, cruddy GM interior.
Or, since you want to get on about unreleased cars yet, how about the upcoming Mercedes SLK55 AMG? A 5.5L V8 with 370 horsepower in a 3200 pound car will outrun the Caddy all day long, with projected 1/4 times in the 12.7-12.8 range, and it's price range should be in the mid-upper $50's. But it is nice to see GM getting a few sedans/coupes out with decent horsepower---only five years after BMW and Mercedes got into it. ![]() Quote:

Who cares if a caddy can pull a 13.1?
Shoot, I can go buy a four year old LS1 Z28 for ten grand, slap a supercharger and a new rearend on it, and run 11's all day long, for less than 1/2 of the caddy's cost. So? Which would I rather have? Well, honestly: neither, which is why I drive a Benz! ![]() Quote:

I drive a C32 instead of the CTS-V because I enjoy a car that has curves. The entire new Cadillac family is composed completely of 15 degree angles.
That being said, kudos to GM for the new Vette and their advertising campaigns (the OnStar free cars promotion and the ads with all the new models, including the overpriced SSR). I'm all for competition, especially in the high-end four door performance car market. We're all winners. I'll be happy to race whatever 50 year old in my neighborhood buys a CTS-V. Should be fun. |

Hey bobs....I think everyone has their panties in an uproar (where the heck is spell check on this thing?) because you came into an MB forum bashing mercedes. "here's a car that will beat you". Nobody likes to hear that about their baby benz....especially me!! But, I do look forward to the day when I can come up along side one of these Caddies at a stop light and show them who's got the nicer car!! Even if he beats me....I still have the three pointed star in my grill....and he dont!!
