I'm essentially easing it out of the hole still. I'd love to be able to build some boost by stalling the car up and hammering it, but it spins way too much if I do. I only bring it up to 1500 RPM, then roll into the throttle off the line. If I could fit a 325 on a smaller rim I know it would help, but it is what it is. The power is there for a low 1.5 or even a 1.4 on a full slick, they just don't make one for my 18" wheels.

Good stuff.
Post your dyno chart. I have never seen an SRT with anything even close to the torque of the V12 biturbo down low. Yes, I've seen more hp out of the SRT but, again, nothing even close to that of the V12 down low.

Lol... Not even close?

I'll post it when I get a chance. And I'm the small TVS blower. Good luck with that and a whipple or KB on a 426.

I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish here mike? You are making claims that your supercharged srt8 makes nearly as much power and/or trq as the v12 biturbo here? Come on be serious that isn't even laughable. Then you try and retaliate by saying good luck to the OP by making references to another car with a bigger engine? Lol i am sorry but even supercharged 426's won't make the power the v12 does at such low rpms. most boosted german cars are designed to make peak torque very low in the rpm range.

What am I trying to accomplish? It's just a conversation. I already clearly stated the nod probably goes to the V12.

Not close? I don't know what to say if you guys think that. I'm not here for a TQ dick swinging contest. More CI or not, a V12 isn't going to win that with an American engine and PD blower like a KB or Whipple.

800-900 TQ Hemi cars are dime a dozen today. 600-700 TQ at 3k Rpms.

And to be clear, my TVS PD car makes ~ 750wtq peak, carries it fairly flat until 6200rpms.

Key word in your third sentence was "probably" when it is in fact a certainty is what we are saying. I think you are missing the point here. A 4600+lb luxury coupe running in the tens trapping almost 130! with relatively little work mind you. A stock hellcat will trap 125-127ish but iirc those are slightly lighter but for some reason this old merc is fast??

Probably is the term because it is that close, yes.

Sorry that seems to upset you.

This conversation, especially since you brought up the hellcat, could go so many ways.

Sink $3500 into a HC and its in the low 9's@140+.
You're starting a conversation that you can't back up with real world drag strip data.

I'd never poo poo any street car running 10, it's an accomplishment for sure, Dr Matt has a beautiful ride for sure.

But if you can't have an conversation about another car without injuring an ego, I don't know what to say.

There is always a faster ride, even when you run 10's. Enjoy them all.

Disappointing day at the dyno. Car only made 548/637. Last time on the dyno I didn't have the Killer Chiller or catless down pipes and made 614/722. Was really hoping to see 650/750.

Not sure what happened. Possibly from timing & dyno operator not listening to me, not knowing the car, or maybe something isn't right.

I started the car to warm it at what I thought was a good timing, but then they decided while I was sitting in my car with it running to let the car before me cool down and make another pull, so mine was getting hot (IAT's) before I got to pull in. Tried to let him know I needed to keep it running while it was getting strapped down, but that didn't happen, it spent a lot more time off than running over the next 10 minutes and the IAT sensor gets hot quick when you shut off the car. Anyway, I told him it has to be at least 2800 rpm before he hit the throttle or it would downshift, which it did when he hit it at 2600. So he tried again rolling in slow from 3000, so it up shifted to fourth, then down back to third. Then he did the exact same thing again. Without giving the car a break, he decided to try a fourth gear pull. I told him the car will hit 172 in fourth, but his dyno only goes to 165. He didn't seem to believe me. Turns out if you spin his dyno too fast it shuts down and throws a red error message on the screen. So, after four consecutive pulls where the IAT's were already causing the computer to pull timing and/or boost, we let it idle for about 5 minutes. Once heat soaked 5 minutes of idling doesn't get the sensor cool, so the final fourth gear pull netted about the same #'s.

Oh well, dyno #'s mean less to me than track times, but a bunch of the guys at the dyno day stuck around to see my car make the biggest #'s of the day, instead it was 100hp/tq below what I expected.

Don't mean to sound like it was anyone's fault, I was the 14th car to run today and the operator just didn't know my car well enough to get a clean pull out of it.

On a good note, the killer chiller is working quite well. The A/C lines get down to the teens for temperatures and my return line is even 10* below ambient even with lots of idling and low speed driving. On my way home from the dyno driving down the highway IAT's were actually only 4* above ambient, even after the flogging the car took on the dyno. Putting my hand on the inter coolers they feel like ice, even though they are actually around 70* when I got home. That was after sitting with the car idling for 15 minutes with the hood closed while my wife went in a store after a stopping at a restaurant for dinner. They were always hot to the touch after driving and idling before the K/C.

Some nice runs there!

I grew up in Anchorage, BTW.
