340,000 miles 2002 ML55
12/17/2017 Updated mileage: 385,000.

Good for 300,000 km minimum
The W163 was built like a military service vehicle. It will still be air tight whenever you are ready to trade it. Based on our experience with a 2005 ML350, mid level problems (e.g., fuel pump, xfer case output shaft bearing, rear engine oil seal) will not begin to show up until after 300,000 km. We traded ours because of the cost of the oil seal repair and the poor fuel mileage. If you like the heavier vehicle and need the low range and AWD, just continue to fix what goes wrong. One note, though, some body repair components are becoming hard to find for AMG and SE versions.

2003 ML500 44000 original miles. Daughter just racked up 4000 miles in the last 2 months. That's hurt!

I just returned from a 26 state 6,200 mile road trip leaving a total of 270,892 on the odo. A few minor things to address, but regular maintenance keeps thee things going and going and going.

2004 ML350
New MBWorld member and I Just got a 2004 ML350 with 218,000 miles. My first Mercedes. I've had it for about two weeks and about 1000 miles. Runs and rides nice. Only issues I have are the ash tray sticks and sometimes the hatch latch doesn't work.

2000 ML320 at 215,000 miles...
Still going strong.
