ML63 and ML270
Thank you, Already replaced leaking inlet manifold at 180,000km and no leaks from around the engine, but a minor transmission oil leak that appears to be not the transmission pan cover. I have a new filter and pan gasket but it may not be the problems maybe another point - not from the front but around the transmission and the lower part of the box (transmission)! Any "O" rings or electrical connections?

Well, don't know what I can necessarily add to this thread, except a photo of me picking up my new (used) 2001 ML320 on May 2nd 2014 with around 166K on the clock. I'm a bit blessed, as I am the very proud father of a MB Tech son.
Here's a Photo of the ML when we drove it first into the sunlight as "my" vehicle, on Friday, alittle over 48 hours ago.

ml320 00 250k miles wow no transmission problems yet. So far I just encountered a water pump problem... but im still getting the po115 message coolant circuit problem code. Does anyone have voltage output on sensor connection from ecu and where on the ECU is the pin for this. so I can measure voltage. I might be running into a ecu problem. So far I measured 0.3v

183,000+ miles.
Only major problem: Replaced front drive shaft @ 170,000 miles.
Has a few minor problems that I will fix when I have time.
Do all my own PM, most repairs.
Getting hard to find aftermarket tires in SE size and local dealer only carries SP5000 which only last about 12,000 miles.

2000 ML430 202743mi no major issues. Small power steering leak that I think is the seal at the reservoir. Going to do a lift kit and 33" tires in the next month.

We rolled 200,000 tonight on our 2002 ml500
The only thing we have had "break" was the radio and put in a dvd/bluetooth to factory setup.
We did do some motor mounts at about 150K but i am told they are a wear item. Other than that just oil changes. I might go do all fluids next week as I feel i should, but we are mothballing it as daughter is soon 16....
We unfortunately had to switch to BMW as MB stopped making the V8 and the 6 cyl diesel. We just felt the x5 was more fun too. But as I said we are keeping the ML!!

63,000 and so far it has needed...
New A/C compressor
New rear torsion bars
Two throttle position sensors (24 months apart)
New brakes (pads & discs)
Two keys (don't ask)
Two trans seals (10 months apart)
Two power steering lines (2 months apart)
Battery ($300USD, MB only!)
Master brake cylinder
Plugs (12, oh joy!)
Two four wheel alignments
Tires at 40,000miles
A variety of wheel sensors
Cup holder
Ashtray door
At this time the brakes don't work worth s**t and the shocks feel like they could be replaced. This car has never been abused, but it sure acts like it. I will NEVER buy another MB.

98 ml320... 285k
I've had about 2 years, no major problems! Replaced brake pads and power steering hose... Pain to get an extra key for cheap... And surface rust is attacking bad but I live in MN. Its been a great car/truck I'm going to drive it till it dies...
