MJ50's W163 Mod Fever
i want to trade-in my wifey's accord with either '03 ML500 or '04 Touareg V6... they are the models i would consider and they both fit my budget. there's no rush, i want to get as many thoughts possible to help me make final decision...

Get the Ml500 if you like more hp....I've personally driven both, and Touareg with it's v6 falls a little short on everything for me...hard shift knobs, hard seats, blue dash lights ....urgh....

2009 C350
get her an '03 ml350 with the inspiration package, has everything the ml55 has except the engine and the wide body fenders (something wifeys never care about)...lol... but same interior and wide tires... the 350 engine is not nearly as torqie off the line as the 500, but rolling start they are pretty equivalent... ive driven both, and the 350 surprisingly did it for me, and ive had a few quick cars, (new corvette, dinan 330ci bmw, and a '03 qx4 suv with gobs of tq)... slow would be a land rover, and the 350 is slightly faster on paper, but feels ALOT faster driving it... let us know!

Update: just looked at 04 ML350 Inspiration Edition today. it's silver/charcoal with low miles. will finalize deal tomorrow. if all goes well, just need power folding mirrors and auto-dimming rearview mirror from steve. here's preview shot.

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
good choice. i have owned several several ml's.. and i still love it. the v6 touristegg or whatever, its a complete pig. its about the most sluggish thing i have ever driven.
and i drove a huffy when i was a kid.

the car is in great condition... i luv the interior.... even more than my C... only thing is that it does not have Navi... not sure how much it'll cost to add DVD nav module but i'd rather get AVIC-D1/D2 with rearview camera... plus i don't have to worry about losing steering wheel controls...
i'm going step ahead here... will know for sure in about 15 hrs...

Deal went thru! Drove it home earlier today.
It's flawless... ride is very comfortable.
Missing features: power folding mirrors, memory seats, DVD-nav, bi-xenons, auto-dimming mirrors
First mods: HID kit, Pioneer AVIC-D1 w/ rearview cam
Other mods: power folding mirrors, auto-dimming mirror & side steps

HID Kit Installed
Just installed 6000K HID kit today...
It was 99% plug & play... No need to set "XENON PRESENT" which can cost anywhere from $50~90.
Light color is very close to PIAA D2S bulbs on my C...
