New owner with a question

Good afternoon,
I have one question. I have a ml 430. I purchased it used 4 days ago. I have figured out most of the gadgets, but there is 1 (actually 8) that I can't figure out. What are the little holes that have covers with arrows on them for? There are 4 sets of 2 on the headliner. 2 sets are next to handles above back seat, other 2 are in hatch area. I have checked the manual and I can't find any information.

Welcome to MBWorld

First guess would be airbags, but if you share pics, might be easier to identify.
