I think this is my first posting. I did a search with no luck.
My wife's '99 ml430 shakes when the brakes are applied at idle speed or driving at a crawling speed with a foot on the brake.
My first thought is a vacuum leak to the brake booster ....or a failed check valve...or something related.
I looked at the booster and did not hear anything strange, but I saw some strange wiring on the booster. I'm thinking that something too "smart" here may be acting "stupid" if there is a failure somewhere.
Anyone heard of this? Or, are there common problematic parts within this system that could cause these symptoms.
Thanks,
Jon
Sometimes I think I should stick with Japanese cars since I'm into 300 zx twin turbos.
