I have had Gunter for a year, just starting to fix him up.
1999 ML 320, 145k
When I got him he was just plain. Changing things slowly.
The day I picked him up.
Added a bug screen and plastic dipped the grill after I did a rust abatement.
Also plasti dipped the top to hide scratches that were all along the top.
Added the atheist symbol. Next is covering the wooden dash inlays with carbon fiber wrap.
Gunter and Sasha.

Hello to all - I've just joined, having bought my first Mercedes, although I've long wanted one:
I'm based in Norfolk, (UK) not too far from the US bases at Lakenheath & Mildenhall.
It's a 2005 ML 270 CDI, listed as a 'Special Edition', although its specification is a little basic, for example, it has no reversing sensors. That said, it has a 'quality' feel to it, making it feel it's here for a while. I'd previously had a series of Landrover Defenders & Discoveries, and this model was selected, amongst other considerations, to tow my wife's horsebox. I haven't yet tried that, but don't foresee any problems.
I'd like to get it as near as possible to spec, but there appear to be some missing bits, most worrying is the lack of a jack and wheelbrace, which I'm trying to source - anyone got a picture of what I should be looking for, & how it fits in the rear compartment? Also, should, (or can), it have some sort of rear internal parcel shelf or cover? The Merc currently leaves everything exposed. My Discovery II had a rollout screen which covered vulnerable contents from the eyes of passing felons. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Phil

2002 Ml 320 just turned over 200k miles. Mostly stock except updated sound system, added some exterior acc, and modified the exhaust with a Magnaflow and dual pipes running out behind the rear wheels.

Sorry mods, posted in the wrong section, please delete.
Greetings from the UK!
Our family workhorse.
Although the steering wheel is on the wrong side I still love the look of the W164

Hey, regarding your Michelins... how did they hold up? Did your ML come with 18 inch wheels?
I recently got an '05 ML 35 with stock 17" wheels and had thought about upgrading. Thanks,
Joe

2005 ML350 being upgraded, will sell good parts replaced.
ML350 pic taken Aug. 2019
We want to upgrade the stock 17" MB wheels and existing Bridgestone tires that have approx. 15k miles evenware/deep tread depth.
Closer-up view of a nick on passenger-side wheel.
We're upgrading the original headlamps and will put on Craig'sList and on this site. They are still clear, no scraches; will include new halogins if wanted.
