2000 ML430 Trans Questions
Hopefully there is someone that can help me with a couple of issues that I am having with my 2000 ML430 with 175,000 miles. I will do my best to provide the proper information.
History:
The front wheels began locking up at slow speeds while turning.
Unplugged the Yaw sensor and plugged it back in, no change.
Bought new car and left the ML sitting for 2 weeks.
Started up after 2 weeks and it was in Limp Mode.
Replaced Pilot Bushing due to fluid infiltration.
Checked and topped off trans fluid.
Replaced Battery.
Bought Autel MD802 Elite scan tool and found:
1. P0701-101
2. P0715 - Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction
3. 10 - Voltage Supply to Solenoid Valves
4. 11 - Voltage Supply to RPM Sensors
5. 106 - Solenoid Voltage
6. 107 - RPM Voltage
7. C1120 - Yaw Rate Sensor
Cleared Codes in ECU and ETC, 10, 106, and C1120 return immediately
Ordered Yaw Sensor will arrive 11-21-14.
Checked Voltage and resistance at ETC with results:
1. 30-29 Good
2. 30-1 Good
3. 30-38 6V <----------------Fail
4. 14-38 ohm Good
5. 16-38 ohm Good
6. 15-38 ohm Good
7. 17-38 ohm Good
8. 36-38 ohm Good
Questions.
1. Would a faulty Yaw Sensor activate the Limp Mode?
2. Would limp mode cause the Solenoid voltage (30-38) to be less than normal, or is this an ETC or Conductor Plate problem?
3. Is there a fuse or relay that I can check?
4. What should I check now?
Any help is greatly appreciated and Thanks in Advance.
Nick
