ML320 rear climiate control lights

ML320 rear climiate control lights
This evening, I noticed that the rear climate control lights don't work correctly when the headlights are on. With them off, all of the lights work. With the headlights on, the auto light does not work, and only a couple of the bottom air dirversion lights work. I believe all the fan speed lights work. If I dim the dash lights all the way, the climate control lights work correctly. It there some kind of grain of wheat bulb or led in the rear climate control panel that could cause this? Any other ides? Any help would be appreciated.

While I appreciate your reply, it does nothing to address the problem I mentioned. I do have the owner's manual and I fully understand how to operate the rear climate controls. My concerns are with the indicator lights not all illuminating when the headlights are on. Everything functions as it should with them off.
