What/how is the fix for 2001 ML320 that has no light for the outside temperature display??

Did you consider that a bulb is out?

Remove the Instrument Cluster.

bulb for outside temp

Thanks. Was not sure if they used "bulbs" or had some other method of illumination. Is removing the instrument cluster anything one can tackle and/or does it require special tools?
