BAS, ETS, ETS lamps on....whats going on in pic?

Hi All,

About a year ago my local dealer contacted me about a brake switch re-call. Sent the chariot in & got the job done....

However (and its a big however), some time later the 3 lamps would come on after driving for a few miles. Over time, this developed into a 'hard' fault and they are now on as soon as I start the car - and stay on.

So as we all do, I spent some time on this forum & as a result, decided to check out the brake switch - especially the connections.
The pic shows what I have found.

Strikes me I've had a "bodge job" done with the dealer trying to make a different switch adapt. Does anyone agree & if so, does the cut green wire & the loose connector explain the symptoms I now have?

Cheers & thanks in advance.

Wow, that is crap. Bring that thing back, that is some shoddy work right there. Especially since you're still having a related fault...

Here's another pic or 2 to help throw some light on the wiring....seems the loose plug might be an after market trailer controller connector?
SO the question is - does the switch look like its the right part and would a switch failure cause my symptoms - the car runs fine, just the 3 lights are on thats all.
