Whirring Noise When Acceleration
Hey,
I'm relatively new to this Mercedes game. I have a ML430 that just had the power steering taken care of, but the car is still making this whirring noise when accelerating, and only when accelerating. I'm worried it may be a bigger issue, but I'm not sure. Anyone have any ideas about what it could be?
Thanks for the help.

What does "I just had the power steering taken care of" mean?
If you don't tell us what was done and what was replaced and who did it and why it was done, it will all be a guessing game on our part.

Well as far as I know, the person who owned the car previously had taken it in to have something checked because it was making a strange noise when turning the wheel. There was a leak in the power steering somewhere (not sure where), and they replaced a few parts, and topped off the power steering fluid. Aside from that, I'm not sure what it was. Just know it was fixed. The tach is not working either. It is sitting around 3800 RPM, on and off. I revved the engine while stopped, and the car was still making the whirring noise.
