99 ML320 with 210k No Start No Turn
Hi I have a ML320 that's been abandoned for a while.
Pretty much one day I took it out to the store, took about half hour, when I got out and tried turning it, it would not turn on. So I had to tow it. After that I just left it on my driveway.
6 months later, I'm back trying to see what's the problem. Got my BMW 530i's battery, hooked it up. It clicks but that's it. There's also a whining noise like when the fans are on. But the fans are not on. All the dash lights work. Hook it up to the scanner and there's no codes store. I'm assuming that's because I disconnected the battery, though. I'm more knowledgeable with BMW's. This was my dad's ML320 and just passed it on to me. So I'm trying to revive the ML but need help. I read some post that people posted with similar symptoms and mentioned about the ECM, AAM, starter or a fried key?? Help is much appreciated.
Here's some videos of my problem

Starter spinning and not engaging flywheel.
Sometimes the bendix gets stuck on cars. Not familiar with ml specifically but you may be able to tap the starter to free it if this is the case.
Otherwise it could be a broken gear/tooth in either the starter or flywheel.
