2002 ML 500 Oil Light

I have a 2002 ML 2002 and lately my oil light comes on but when I go to checking it my oil level is fine. I called Mercedes and they said its probably the oil level sensor and it would cost around $700 to fix.
So here is my question is it really that hard to replace the sensor ?
I have looked and the sensor it around $110 sure would be nice if I could do it myself and save a ton.

This is not for the faint hearted. But.....you decide.
The first PDF is how to remove the oil pan. The third is how to change the oil level sensor. The second is how to apply the sealant to the oil pan, after changing the oil level sensor.
The most difficult part of the job is removing/installing the oil pan. And it is not a easy task. Changing the sensor is no big deal.
Don't do it , if you haven't done anything like this before, or ask for help from someone who knows what he is doing.
