I have an '01 ML430. Just bought it last night. On my way to work this morning, a light came on.

I've looked all through the owner's manual online for what this light means, and while it's shown/illustrated in the owner's manual, it's not talked about what it indicates. o . O

The little grey dot under mph/220 is what's illuminated.

Can anyone here help?

The 2004 ML500 manual lists it as a Photo Sensor.....adjusts the brightness of the digital displays. Is it illuminated all the time?
