Serpentine belt tensioner change recommended interval?
I've got a 2001 ML320 approximately 85k miles on it. Is there a recommended replacement interval on the idler pulley and belt?

Idler pulley is very cheap. Change it.
Check the belt for cracks. If cracks are present, change the belt.

Didn't answer the question. The idler pulley and belt are cheap, the tensioner is much pricier. If there is an interval and my belt looks good, I'll wait and get a whole kit when the time comes.

I had the pulley disintegrate on a trip. Was stranded for 2 days while they ordered part on the PA turnpike. and after 15k miles, am starting to feel a little play again.
You can only periodically look
