2002 ML320
2002 ML320 died and would not restart. Help!
While driving the ML just died. All the lights on the dash flashed and it died and, while it would crank, it would not restart. Had it towed to mechanic where the only code they found was for the thermostat but it had not been running hot...ran a little cool in winter. Mechanic changed the CPS and checked the pressure on the fuel pump which was within specs. It will now start and run for about a minute then it dies again. Mechanic speculated that it could be the "exciter ring". Any ideas?

With no codes present, it is a fuel delivery issue, fuel filter or fuel pump.

Thnx. Could it be the fuel pressure regulator? Where is it located?

The fuel pressure reg. is built into the fuel filter.

Have you mechanic check the fuel pressure according to the PDF.
