W163 Fuel Pump, CAT Big Fixes, Low$
OEM fuel pump for the W163 is Bosch P/N 69498. $79-99. The MB pump assy easily disassembles to allow installation of this OEM Bosch pump saving $400. BTW, same pump is used on the BMW Z4.
Clogged CATs can be fixed by lightly taping on them while the engine is idling. This breaks up the carbon deposits, allowing them to pass through, and keeps everything legal while saving the big $$ replacing them would cost.
