Very commom problem.
But it's supposed to be a easy fix if your rubber is not desintegrating.

Pull the rubber, removing it partially, about 5 inches should be enough.
There's no need to remove it completly.
Clean troughly, better as you can. Any dirt and leaves has to be cleaned.
It's supposed to have a draining hole there. Be sure it's not clogged.
Get a good RTV sealant and spread it generously on the areas where the rubber touchs metal.
Press the rubber back on its place, just squize it over the RTV and remove excess if needed. Be sure to not let the RTV get into the drain hole.

I experienced this very same problem and that fixed it for good. Two years and it still have no more leaks.

Check this on the driver's side as well. It always happens on both sides.
On driver's side it may cause water to get inside the e-box or into the cabin, near the footwell.
Black RTV works better, because it looks seamless with the rubber and doesn't look like a flimsy job.
Good luck!
