power steering leak in ML500

2002 ML 500
power steering leak in ML500

I have a power steering leak in my 2002 ML500. The people at the shop is either FOS or just don't know what they doing. Does anyone has an answer.

Change the PS reservoir seal. That if the leak is from there. Change the PS hose clamp to the radiator.
You have given very little info to properly help you

Any more details? And it may the power steering reservoir. The reservoir is known to leak, replace the o-ring for the reservoir or replace it if this is the issue.

Just had the same thing. My mech replaced a bunch of O-rings, he said there was actually a kit. I think we changed out the PS hose because he did not like the way it looked. I don't have the invoice in front of me but parts, labor, same day in and out was about $275. Labor was most of the bill.

Do keep an eye on the PS fluid reservoir after repair. There was still some air in the lines once I got it back, so I needed to top it up once.
