W164 wiring pros...

Hey guys, I have a friend who is heading up a project at Bose... he is fighting to regain the Mercedes contract. He is building a prototype system for a W164 they are working on. Currently what they have done sounds PRETTY SICK... I cant talk to much about it but it is very cool... well in doing the protoype they want to install there new head unit system... which has navi built in... Problem is... its an entirely Can-bus based system. Anyone know if there is a VSS wire in the car with out Navi? the W163 non navi MLs needed a can-bus adapter to have a functional VSS...

Any help would be VERY MUCH appreciated and after there demo in a couple months I might be able to post some pictures...

They have a very long way to go to beat the HK systems. After having several Bose systems I can't believe the improvment with the HK.

I get regular complaints about BOSE in the SL R230. How about if they fix the mess they created before they try and kick HK out of the picture.

this prototype system will blow quite a few things out of the water, most aftermarket systems wouldnt compare with this(low frequency response as well as high frequencies)... but like any prototype chances are this wouldnt make it in to production...

Still need the wiring info if anyone has it... just need a VSS

The sound amplifier sits on the MOST bus similar to the BOSE in the V220 S-Class and C215 CL for which BOSE should have the diagrams. Here's some info about the MOST stuff:
