You can bend those to old the ballasters on the various points in the engine bay. I have mine mounted under the headlamp assemblies.

hey guys! This might have already been asked and if so I am sorry for asking again. I just got an 07 ml350 however it just has the halogens. I was going to be upgrading to HID's the question I got is there is a cover that goes over the back of the casing to cover the halogen bulb. Is there a spot to run the wires from the balast? I have seen some people just pinch the cable and I know that isnt good in the long run.

There is a dust cover that seals the light fixture from the engine side. I just installed (and removed) an LED conversion and was able to place all the wiring inside the fixture and still install the cover.


I am also planning on installing an HID in the hopes that the light output is better than the LED kit.
