So he knew how to turn off the Service Reminder? Or just put up with it?

After draining the oil how do you clean the felt/insulation on the crankcase pan? I studied that on my W164 and when told there is not a magnet on the drain plug I bought an evacuator and suck the oil out the dipstick. Done that way 9 quarts is mid-dipstick so I feel like I get as much or more out as a traditional drain.
