How to replace ML550 fog lamp bulb
My 2010 ML550 has one fog lamp out.
Can anyone help describe the install procedure - it's missing from the manual and I can't find anything on this forum.
The ML550 has the AMG appearance package, with different fogs to the regular W164.
Also, replacement bulb type?
Thanks!

On the amg bumper you need to remove the chrome part around the fog lamp. Look closely and you will see two holes (one on each side) where you can use a very thin flathead screwdriver in order to remove the chrome round peace. From there you have to remove 4 torx screws, they are T20 and you will have the fog in your hand. Unplug the connector and counterclockwise the socket/adaptor or whatever is it called and you will have the bulb in your hand. Bulb is H7
If you need more help I can take some photos and post them

If you lie on your back and look up at the bottom of the fog light, you'll see a hole in the trim ring. Push a screwdriver in here and pop the ring off. It is less likely to damage the paint than using the two small indents at the sides.
Then follow Borko's instructions.
Don't do this in cold weather. You'll likely break the trim ring.

I replaced my fog lights with 3k HIDS. I jacked up the front of the truck and took the tires off and took the liner off and installed them from there. Not much room but it can be done

I wish I would have checked here first...
Thanks for the useful information. I just wish that I would have thought to come here two hours ago. From the front is much easier than the removal of the liner and installing from the rear of the fog lamp. In fact for me, it was not possible because of larger arms. Just couldn't make it work in the tight space.
