No you cannot play music via bluetooth, there is an AUX jack inside the glovebox that you can connect to and play music from.

You can use this I bought this for my wife ML and she loves if you it. If you have the media interface in your glove box connect to the 30pin adapter and select media interface on your radio and that is it.

I have the tune2air for my ML and it works a treat. Allows you to also play other apps such as iTunes Radio as well as tunein radio although the for the later you won't get great functionality from steering wheel controls. It's not cheap, but well worth it. It works seamlessly and you can also use it on any home devices like a dicking station and make them Bluetooth enabled.
