Aftermarket trailer hitch for Airmatic?

Has anyone successfully installed an aftermarket trailer hitch for Airmatic? It seems there are tons of discussions but couldn't find much info on Airmatic.
I called my local indy shop for my 2006 500 and they quoted me $1,250 only for the part. Ouch!
Can I just install regular one? Will I have any safety issue?

Currently I just need to carry two bikes but I'm planning to get a boat very soon.

Thanks but it seems they don't have the specific parts for Airmatic model.

Has anyone installed the regular one without any issue?

I installed a hitch from U-Haul on my 2007 ML 320CDI that works perfect!
