Heater problems ML350

Hi. My heater is blowing cool air. When I hold my hand up to the vent I feel warmish air coming from the vent but feel cool air on my face and the cabin is not getting warm. I recently changed my battery and was wondering if I need to reset/recalibrate my temperature settings somehow or if this is something I will have to get my mechanic to check out?

I am not sure if this helps, but I recently replaced a thermostat on a S class because the water temp was staying at 60 degrees. Replaced it and car temp went back to the correct levels and he said the cabin started to warm up properly.

What temperature are you getting when you check it through the display?

Kind regards

Raj

Hi Raj. Thanks for the response. It makes sense to replace the thermostat. I will be going to get one tomorrow and will let you know if that fixes the problem.

The temperature on the display reads below 60 degrees. It takes forever to ramp up to 55/60 and the warmer the display shows then the cabin warms up slightly.

Regards
Garth

Hi Raj,

Replaced the thermostat and the heating issue has been resolved.

Thanks again for your suggestion.

I am having same issue. Did you have check engine light ? I would think you would get check engine light if thermostat is bad. I have changed it in past couple years ago but before I change it again, I want to make sure.

Thanks
