ML350, 2010 Elec Memory Seat- Conversion

Hi All,

Does any one know.....

If I simply change existing switch module for controlling 'electric seats with lumber support heating' -
With a new/replacement (s/hand) 'switch panel- with memory function button'.

Will this allow the memory function to work? without any further parts or wiring looms etc being necessary!

can I assume all wiring looms & connectors exist as standard on all cars?

Will the existing drive motor of seats have the necessary rev-counter etc as standard?

Will the replacement switch panel have the necessary memory function or is this also existing as standard part of the car?

As memory is obviously necessary to retain set parameters set for seat,
will this also effect/retain electric side mirror positioning on memory when seat memory is set- per the previous 05 plate S'classs owned?

I would very much appreciate any help & support, as don't want to waste any money & get frustrated unnecessarily, by simply purchasing a s/h replacement memory switch panel fro ebay or alike to find it won't work on its own!!!

Many thanks in anticipation.

Correct - if you do not have memory - the "switch" will not add it.

Thanks Fabbrisd,
Do you know what would be needed to convert to memory function & cost?
Could the relevant parts be sourced second hand & would it be worth all the hassle?
Thanks again in advance.

Hi

I have a question, I don't memory seat, but it looks like still the remembering what previous owner set (???) a seat. So its inflated back seat, I don't like it. So how to set to stop doing it?
Read manual and it's not clear to me. Thank you
