Bad reactions in snow
i am extremely disappointed in the ML 4Matic inability to maneuver on snowy roads. Horrible skids into turns and I even had difficulty going up a slight hill in a drive way.

maybe your tires are shot? How old are they?

I do notice there are some snow conditions my ML will have less than stellar handling even with snow tires. Braking and acceleration are stellar, but on the road handling can be sketchy Depending on what tires you have on, even if new it has more to do with the width and type of snow conditions. I find that most all season now are geared toward fuel economy and low road noise. Other items can come into play, such as alignment.

ML350 Blutec
We have a ML350 Blutec, the truck came with more of a rain tire, same issue, next set of tires I will move more to an all season tire. If you search the forum this is a common issue and most come back noting changes to tires make a load of difference.

Our family owns both a 2006 ML350 4Matic & a 2010 ML350 Bluetec with 4matic and tires make all the difference in the world.

Especially the 2010 that had 255/50-R19 Bridgestone "Dueller" Run flats. Changed both to 235/65-R17 Goodyear UltraGrip Ice winter tires and now they are both almost unstoppable under most snow & ice conditions.

Of course some high speed dry weather handling is diminished, but overall a good balance between traction, comfort and handling. The "summer" tires go on mid March to early April all the way through to the first snow of the season.
