Fault 2135-004 Glow Plug Cylinder 3 Open Circuit

Hi,

I have the following fault code on a W164 :

2135-004 Glow Plug Cylinder 3 Open Circuit
2133-004 Glow Plug Cylinder 1 Open Circuit

Issue returns after codes erased.

Do this mean the plugs require replacing or other issue?

Thanks

My DashDAQ XL's generic code reader interpreted a number I didn't write down into the "communication error with glow plug module" error.

Today the dealer replaced the glow plug relay and declared the vehicle to be repaired. Hope so.

I think it is common (diesel) problem ...I bought part ~ 120 $ and I did it by myself ...It took ~ 15-20 min

Also, replaced part has some improvements due to part # is not same.

You shouldn't have any issue with module - as for glow plugs, you need changed them as sparks
