MB ML320 CDI 2006
W164 airmatic problem

Hello.

I have the ML 320 cdi 2005 with airmatic and offroad package. Driven approx. 190 000 kilometers.

When the car is turned off the left front corner lower slowly down approx. 40 mm (approx. 10 min period). When the car is restarted it gets up and is running normal.

Because the car has the offroad package, chassis height level can be adjusted. When you lift up the car onto first height level the left front corner stays up normally, as well as second and third height level.

Ther is no info on multifunction display.

Has anyone experience of this kind of problem?

Sounds like you have a low leak in the front left air spring.

Hello. I own a 08 ML63, what your experiencing is car airmatic settling down, It should only happen when you shut the engine off and lock the doors, you should hear the on board computer go through its shut down procedures, this is normal, if it appears that only one side goes down, that's because it's also leveling the vehicle as it lowers, this is also perfectly normal, it relieves the rubber airbags so there not under constant pressure, this helps preserve them from fatigue. It's very evident in sport suspension mode, not so much in comfort mode, in sport utility mode the suspension will stay jacked up know matter if it's running or not, jacked up mode will lower only when the vehicle exceeds 44 mph or when you want it to. Your vehicle is working as it was extended.
