I noticed this always happen after a heavy rainfall and when the car is locked with the smart key. All the lights(fog, rear, side mirror, front light) blink continuously nonstop until i open the car with the smart key, warm the car for a while then close the doors without locking it.
I also get a tailgate open warning on the cluster when the tailgate is completely closed then my brake lights are permanently on sometimes

What could be the problem and why does this happen only after a rain????

Check for water under your spare tire foam insert

Hi Euler, i checked. there was no sign of water there.

check for water down under the front passenger seat where the battery is located. water gets down there on the sam module when the reed valve grommet gets clogged under the hood/wiper cowling on the passenger side where the air inlet is for the air conditioning.
