Driver's Side LED Mirror Not Working Intermittently
Hello,
Haven't been on the forums for a while
I own a W164 2010 ML350, the drivers side mirror is poping up an error, i believe the led is not bad and the wiring, our previous W164 had also had this problem but had gone away one day and never came back lol. How much did it cost for you guys to replace/ repair your mirror? Is it caused by the mirror being folded in all weather conditions, while the wiring is brittle from the cold or something like that?

Chances are what you describe. That's why I don't fold the mirrors.
one of mine has a rock chip in them and when a lot of moisture accumulates in it I get an error code.
Then it goes away.
I've tried to replace mine with LED's off of eBay. No luck. Each time they send the wrong one with a harness that doesn't accommodate puddle lights.
The light itself fits. But the harness is wrong. So when I find the time I'm going to splice one into the existing harness to see if it works.
