Steering Wheel Switch (button) questions

Guys / Gals -- I just bought a used ML350 and I love it. Somehow there is a cosmetic issue with the steering wheel switch on the left hand side of the steering wheel. See pic below.

Questions:
  1. Is there a way to repair without replacing the entire button / switch?
  2. If not, where can I get a switch in Java color for cheap? $150 is too pricey for me
  3. If I have to purchase switch (button) how easy is it to replace ? I'm fairly handy and good with these things, but not a mechanic by trade.

Thx@!
Clint

I had a upholstry company match the color. It cost $50 and looks ok.

You mind posting a pic ? Would be great to see it. Is your issue with the leather on the wheel itself? Or with the buttons?

The buttons I believe are part of the airbag for the facelift models.

Best try contacting a local fabrenew.com or onsitefixit.com

I tried onsitefixit for my leather seat that had the leather wear in the edge and steering wheel refurbished and he made them look like new.

I even had a sheet of hyper silver powder coat come off one of my rims from the power washer and he made it look like new.

All 3 took about 2 hours and $175 Canadian.
