Check engine light and code P0521
Hi
2009 ml350
Check engine light came on recently on the car, it's seams to be driving fine. I got it plugged in and 2 faults have appeared.
P0521 intake-pipe flap potentiometer
Short circuit to ground
P0856 map cooling thermostat
Short circuit to ground/positive
I'm not quiet sure what these relate to, I spoke to MB about the faults and they think the ?tumble flap unit at the back of the intake might need replacing, they have quoted over 850 euro without labour for this part.
I not intending on keeping this car much longer so I'm a bit reluctant to replace this if its not absolutely necessary...
If anyone has come across this fault before I'd appreciate hearing form you, thanks
