Command w/ Rear Entertainment
Hey,
So its been awhile since I have been on the forums... but this past weekend I picked up a 2008 320CDI, with 80k on the odometer... couldn't pass it up.
Anyways, it has the H/K Logic Navigation, also has the factory Rear entertainment (TV's on head rest not center console). So as we know, entertainment package does not offer the aux input in glove box because the rear system uses the AUX on Command.
BUT there is NO CD changer in this particular vehicles glove box either. Now, I am familiar with the old command systems, and if I recall... an ipod adapter/aux could be added in the W203 Bose Commands if you were willing to give up the changer. IS the W164 the same? Can a ipod adapter or 3.5 mm plug be adapted to connect to the CD Changer port in the back of the Command Head Unit? If so, what is the adapter called and/or where do I purchase it?
Tried to do a search, and had no luck.
Thanks

CD Player and Nav disk are behind a motorized screen, and a little joystick opposite the volume knob for scrolling rather than a up/down/left/right buttons.
Is there a way to connect the DVD player mounted under the back seat for the rear entertainment system to the head unit. I do know it can be done on a W203 Comand as I had it before. I also saw a you tube of someone doing it to a 2009 W164. but I think that is a NTG2.5
has anyone done this? I know there is unlock codes (which I tried and have been unsuccessful) which allows one to play DVD's on the head unit. but it doesn't talk to the monitors in the back.
