Diesel owners only, power and rpm
Even though my car is a R-Class, all V6 diesels work and perform the same. My question to you bluetec diesel owners is, when flooring the car, and you start to reach 3500 rpm, does the engine still pull hard to 4000 rpm or does it really fall off? In my case, it really falls off at 3500 rpm. I can't even get it close to the 4500 rpm redline. Installed new fuel filter, air filters and fresh oil change.

Just wondering what makes you need to take the engine to 4500 rpm? If your engine is running well, under normal driving conditions you shouldn't feel like the vehicle needs more power beyond say 3500 rpm. The engine reaches maximum power at around 3750 rpm.
I hardly ever need to exceed 2800 rpm under usual driving conditions and the engine runs at 2500 rpm when the vehicle is doing 140 km/h. When overtaking another vehicle, the engine might reach 3500 rpm momentarily before switching over to the next gear.
