Landaulet At Westminster
For those that are entertained by cars, I found on the Westminster site that they have a Landaulet. Very good chance your never going to see one in person in your lifetime, so why not check out the pictures while they have them up on their site. Doesn't look as bad as I thought it would, but whats with the crazy white leather interior thats going to turn blue from your pants the first time you sit on them? Oh and why is the "drivers compartment" black leather and not white as well? Lol guess when your that expensive you can be any color you want without reason. (I'm not affiliated with Westminster, have no idea if they are a good dealership or not, but they are sponsors on this forum and have a great website)

That Landaulet is already sold. To a rapper for a music video on the West Coast. At least that's what my friend at the dealership told me.

Wouldn't surprise me. It's been on their website for quite awhile, but just recently they moved it onto the new inventory page. Seeing how it's probably the only one in the States, its bound to sell to someone, although I really don't see the point in it lol.

lets see, hand built limited quantities for one... R&D needs to be paid for as we all know it is not a non profit organization. Basic 5th grade economics...
Now if they were streaming off the assembly line like it was a KIA, I am sure you would have KIA pricing also.

I got to thinking about this and what I typed above as thinking it might be the only one in the States. Well thats wrong, I recall seeing a black one up on Ebay earlier this year, think someone here might have even posted the link on this forum. At any rate, its more or less a one off car, which is why it commands a high price. I don't see the point behind it either as I would rather get the Zepplin Edition or just pick up a 62S and be done with it.

In my own little fantasy world lol. Yeah there are only 100 2009 Zeppelins, so chances of finding one that someone wants to part with are slim to none. But, I would venture to guess it would still be less money than a Landaulet, but who really knows, I was just stating I'd rather have a Zeppelin than a Landaulet.

That's the dealership I go to, and it is still available.
The sticker price is $1.4m, but it's selling for $1.6m on their website and $1.7m on eBay.
There are only 3 imported to the U.S. which explains for the huge mark up. The dealership doesn't expect to sell it locally and is hoping to sell it out of state with the markup due to its exclusivity, but with this economy is willing to sell closer to its sticker price.
It is more impressive in person, but I think the granite trim on the interior looks a bit tacky and out of place -- everything else is white on white on white.
The tail lights on the Maybach has always been a major design fault, and on the Landaulet because of all that white it is especially bad. A light smoke tint on the tail lights would make a huge improvement.
I wouldn't use that granite on my kitchen (looks like a bowling ball). For that kind of money I'd expect something more rare and exotic, like mother of pearl or sterling silver.
The Zeppelin looks more tasteful than the Landaulet, IMO.

It would be so much better looking in another, hell any other color combination. All that white is tacky, disgusting and going to make for a really dirty car in a few years.

I'm with you on the white leather, the good news is there is a whole host of colors to choose from, the bad news is that car is the only one available in the U.S. currently.

I don't think anyone is going to be getting in the 1.5mill vehicle with anything less than a $10k suit or dress... White is in the back and black is up front with the chauffeur, pretty much representing class when you get in. And by far this is a better vehicle than a rolls, which the interior seating reminds me off an old NYC taxi cab.
The open air top, well I can't see any other way to do it without without taking away from the vehicles look.
I guess we could nit pick it all day, but I doubt anyone of us here is able to buy one... or have the disposable income to buy it...
