50K...yeah that is unbelievable. It costs as much as a new E-Class to fix something like that? Someone is getting over.......big time.

That dealer is scamming your insurance company in a big way. It might cost 25K in labor to build the whole car, but there is no way it's going to cost 25K to repair that front end damage, unless they have Schumacher working on cars as punishment for being beaten so badly by Rosberg

That sounds very high. Especially for the labor, unless they are repainting half the car. I had an entire S-Class painted for less.

Insurance companies don't "get scammed," so consider these most likely realistic prices.

They don't have Chinese copy Rolls Royce parts, either.

you are not very well informed about the cost of insurance fraud. they get "scammed" all day long to the tune of billions of dollars per year. I can't believe you don't think insurance companies get scammed. I will just assume you made an honest mistake when you posted.

From the Texas Dept of Insurance, the first "official" web site that popped up in my 10 second yahoo search:

Nationally, insurance fraud costs consumers an estimated $150 billion annually, an average of nearly $1,000 per family each year in additional insurance premiums and added costs to consumable goods.
And look, they even know about it in New Mexico (your home state?):

Insurance fraud is one of the most costly white collar crimes in America, second only to tax evasion. Some experts estimate the annual cost to be 120 billion dollars nationally. It is estimated that the cost of insurance fraud in New Mexico alone is 280 million dollars per year. The financial impact of insurance fraud affects every citizen of our state in an immediate and substantial way.
