I just called USAA and they still don't have their discounts posted but I am hoping anywhere between $2000 to $3500. These discounts are guaranteed. They are offering $6500 on the E class E250 Bluetec so for sure I am expecting something.
How much below MSRP were you able to negotiate for your CLA45?
"I know we all want to get a good deal. MB of Huntington offered me 1k below msrp with an allocation. Has anyone been able to do better?"
I feel bad for you brother. I got my new 2009 C63 with $5000 in options for $52000 (about 40000 Euros). You need to comes to the USA and live the dream . Paying 200000 Euros for a C63 State is ridiculous, Like I said, I paid like 1/5 the price.
Dilemma, C63 --> CLA 45?
"Hi, i own a C63 amg estate, i have approx 40k km on it so far. Now as new it was around 200k €, now i would estimate it to be around 120k €. I am interested in the CLA, but i don't know if it is worth paying the same amount for an almost fully loaded CLA as for my fully loaded C63. I would appreciate inputs because i have no idea what to do at the moment. I love my C but the km is starting to scare me in regards of reselling it."
I totally concur. I am waiting or the right moment I saved $12000 from MSRP when I purchased my new C63 AMG back in 09. I can wait a few more months. What i don't understand is the people on this fforum saying that they prefer to wait for the 2015 model, my question is why?
Quoted from Newzchspy's post
"I've been around this block before with the C63 about 5 years ago. Everyone wanted the latest and greatest FIRST!! Those same guys were kicking themselves in the BUTT a few months later when the P30 with LSD and soon thereafter the P31 came out. This is exactly why I am in no rush to get the first of the CLAs."
where is that in Romania? I honestly wouldn't believe it until I see a timeslip.

I wouldn't put the hook unless I am racing the car and really needs to be pulled off. In that event, I would simply call Mercedes 1800 to have it tow for free or have my insurance company towing it. It is like putting the bulls plastic balls hanging from the rear bumper, you see my point?

Good luck with the sale. I met you in person once at the Tucson import car show. I came from a C6 Z06 before I had my C63. My Z06 (new then in 2008) had cams, headers, heads, air filter, tune, ported manifold and ported throtle bodies but the quality was poor and the car gave me many issues. Time proved me right, the car had 5 owners within 3 years.
My best was a 12.9@111 stock with a full weight plus a baby seat on 91oct at 3100ft. I had a sedan 09 model

Ideally I would like to see as a minimum a dual ball bearing cartridge, preferably a ceramic ball bearing but that is asking too much. Further more, I am hoping that the Compressor wheel is not from a cast and instead an aluminum CNC cut. Borg warner is a great company, I know they produce great quality. This car could be the absolute dream had they put a variable vanes on the compressor, similar to what Porsche has on their GT2 or some older VW turbodiesels.
"Does anyone know what turbo is lurking under the heat shield in the CLA45's engine bay? I have not had any luck trying to figure this out. Thanks in advance."

I use to have that noise on my car as well, it is typically the valvetrain and lifters making the noise when the oil is cold. Typically the noise goes away on its own.
engine knock? when cold
"Hello, difficult to describe this but i think its an engine knock when the car is not at normal operating temperatures. When reving to between 3-4 k while driving, i feel a weird pulsating feeling throughout the car. it goes away when its warm. it happenes for the first 5 minutes of driving, engine NOT completely cold I am using higher quality 94octane gas, if that makes a difference any suggestions?"
To the OP, You list some stuff but you don't list a tune on your list. Is your car tuned at all?

You can do the STS turbo sytems, it is universal and it is cheap. Squire turbo system), it is very popular on the V8 american cars.
"I fancy a C63, luv the look, however I wont buy until they put the 5.5 V8 TT engine in it. I had a 2009 SL63 , and now I have the new TT SL63, and it would kill the 2009 63. So C63 Bi Turbo please."
It must be something in your head...only in your head that makes you think this way.
Random observation (Push to start)
"Anyone else notice when they put the key in the ignition their car runs a bit different? more aggressive, I tried it 15 minutes ago when I left the house..decided to try the key in and even tested it several times..key in vs the push button and the car seemed more responsive with the key in vs the push button...Kinda weird? Anyone else ever noticed this? "
I am sorry but I disagree. It sounds to me like a cheap Honda Civic with a fart can exhaust. No difference to me:

What if the member doesn't have the OBD type tune? I had MHP tune with long tube headers and I brought my car for service. They never asked so I never told. I had my cam position sensor reflashed to learn all modes and my tune was intact. I also had a CEL for misfire and again my tune was intact. Back to my point, not everyone has a hand held tune so your suggestion is questionable.
Quoted from late_bloomer's post
"Use the handheld device and switch back to original tune before servicing and past 2 services, no one said anything. Then switch back v4 tune afterwards. How much you pay for pre paid service? I think mine was 2600 for 5 years plus the LSD flush. Feel like I got scammed, but glad I do not have to worry about costs at service.."
Your "idea/comment" about the new 4.0 V8 being like two A45 AMG "put together" is the most absurd thing I ever heard. The two engines are absolutely different in every way, even the way they can be mounted. typically the 4 cyl would be mounted side ways and the V8s are mounted longitudinal (straight). No, the 4.0 V8 will not be anything near "two" 2.0 CLA45 AMG put together. The only thing even close is just the displacement figure, nothing more

"As a car enthusiast I am excited about any performance car make regardless of whether it's an import or a domestic brand. With that being said, how excited are you about the upcoming C63 AMG? Will you buy this car is it comes with 4Matic only. As most of you probably already know, the upcoming C63 will come with a twin turbo 4.0 V8 that is said to be basically two A45 AMG 2.0T motors merged together. By looking at the kind of performance Audi is getting out of their 4.0TT engine I have no reason to not believe AMG will not only match, but exceed that performance. Check out the link: Copy & Pasted from Motorauthority below: Just as its rivals downsize to high-performance fours and sixes, AMG is reportedly working on a brand new V-8, albeit one smaller than we’re used to seeing from the ..."
Congrats. My dealer told me that USAA does only one car per year, my last car was purchased the l;ast day of 2012(31 Dec 2012) so I should be able to get a discount through USAA. The C63 are discounted $2000, the E class $5500 to $6000 and the GLKs are $3500 off, I am hoping the CLAS to be like at least $2000 off.
Quoted from evoviiiyou's post
"I just placed my order and no discount to speak of as I used the USAA on my wifes 13 GL earlier this year. Totally disagree and I will prove you incorrect. USAA will have a few thousands dollars off on their website. This car is nothing special, is just a little different on their line up(4 cylinder turbo AWD and blah blah) buts nothing special or collective. This car is in par with the BMW 1 M or the Audi RS3, in fact, this is the reason why Mercedes had to step up because it was behind. I guarantee you that you would not have to wait two years and I just can't wait for USAA ...
Quoted from ML63 AMG's post
"Almost impossible, their margins are so tight bc of the low MSRP. You won't be able to get discount until they are readily on lots in 2 years time. Until then dealers are getting very limited allotments so you basically have to order them and wait many many months"
I have to disagree. USAA offers discounts on just about every model. I was recently interested on thier E550 4 matic and they had it for $5998 off, all you have to do is print the certificate if you are eligible. Costco has similar programs. On another note, I might be one in a million Mercedes owner that knows what "hold back" means. Exactly...!!!! everyone right now is wondering: what the hell is this guy(me) talking about? Well, hold back is the price in which the dealer ...

"I can assure everyone that discounts are not the word when it comes to CLA-AMG, but rather, can I get one. This car created so much buzz in the automotive world, that MB will have a hard time meeting the demand. Yes, that is every carmaker dream, but it can be a problem too. As a MB salesperson for years, I can tell you that guys in the dealership are shocked about how many people are coming and asking for the car..... People that placed the order for one congrats....you might even get offers for more than what you paid for...... One more month......."
How do you guys get these huge $7000 and $8000 discounts? are you guys bringing a lady with high heels, red lipstick and big boobs to the dealer? what do I need to do to get a freaking $8000 off?
Quoted from PeterUbers' post
"$8k off is great, I'm at $7k off, but I was also negotiating with a trade in. I laughed at the stealerships telling me they'd give me $500 off MSRP, or I could walk -- LOL, this ain't an ancient relic, it's a hunk of steel with a 3 pointed star on the front!"
Well, I am being offered $1000 below invoice(that was this week) but that is based on the USAA discount coupon online. I checked today on the website and now the discount coupon is even larger so that means that I should be at $2000 below invoice. MSRP base model is $61,400 Invoice base model is $57,102 so.. $57,102 minus $2000= $55,102 (not including tax , registration or delivery destination). As far is tax, I am saving approximately $3000 on tax on my trade because I ...
